There is a conduction problem due to structural issues, but maybe not something you have to treat.
If sustained SVT for more than 30 minutes then you would treat. Could do a beta blocker to reduce future cases of this, but it is cost benefit analysis.
Maybe a monthly thing.
Took him off Cyproheptadine, and it stopped. Could be coincidence. Will start Cypro again while in the hospital and see if it happens again.
Fri 3/4 ENDOSCOPY
Shuskin saw irritation in the stomach, could be increased stomach acid. He saw irritation below too, probably a sign of enterocolitus. Since Flagyl is working, this could have gotten a lot better since we got here.
Will know more when we get biopsys back on Mon or Tues.
He did not see any signs of Bacterial overgrowth.
The disk on old G/J tube had totally failed. Kirby has done 1000 of these and this has never happened. He will send pics to the manufacturer to see if they have any reasons this may have happened. Had to put in a new tube. Normally Kirby would be worried about his size and putting this in, but bc they had the camera down, they could see that it worked for his anatomy.
This shouldn's have caused any pain or blood in stool.

Mon.Tues- the endoscopy didn't show much except irritation due to acid build up and enterocolitis. Added Erythmicin. Still blood in stool.
Wed- Changed forumula to medium chain fats to make it easier to absorb. Some pink blood in stool.
Thurs- no blood in stool. No gagging and retching, just some coughing. Doing pretty well.
Fri- 5 am hypertarchadia that is lasting 3 hours. Moved to ICU, starting propropinol drip. Stopping Cyproheptadine. Started proprpinol.
3/24- did an anorectal anometry and found pressures were 20, so botox would not help the situation.
Also did a flex sigmondoscopy. Inflamation and redness looked better. Also, she determined that the colon was short and not really inflamed at all. Dr. A believes that the mesalamine is working, and we should just keep with that plan.
He has one whole week of no retching and gagging.
